Places for everyone

For the last couple of years I have been supporting Crispin Hayes Associates / Cycle Path Services on a locally-based walking and wheeling project initiated by near neighbours Spott Community Association.

Places for Everyone is a scheme that aims to create safe, attractive, healthier places by increasing the number of trips made by walking, cycling and wheeling for everyday journeys.

Funded by the Scottish Government through Transport Scotland it is administered by Sustrans

The challenge has been to devise a safe route across difficult terrain with the following design principles in mind. The feasibility study is nearing completion with a number of preferred options emerging.
